Websites | Adding a Link to a Banner

Introduction

Adding a link to a banner allows you to configure where the customer will be directed when they click on your banner image. You may want to direct customers from the banner on your home page to the particular offer that it references. This is completed using links within banners.

Instructions

Follow these steps to add a link to your banner:

1. On the left hand side of your website dashboard, select the Pages options
   

2. Navigate to the page which you'd like to update the banner link address, and select the Edit link

   

3. Browse to the Page Layout section of the page, then locate the Banner module and click on the drop down arrow

   

4. Now to add the link to your banner, Run your mouse down to the Banner Link and click on Select Link

   

   1.  Page Link: This is used if you would like to link to a particular page on your website.

      

   2. External Link: This selection allows you to copy and paste any link from outside the website, or any link you cannot locate under Page Link.  

      

   3. Phone number: This option allows you to link a banner to call a specific phone number.

      

5. Once you have confirmed your link, Click on the Save Changes button on the right hand side of the screen.  

   

6. You may now go to your website and do a hard refresh to the page (by holding Ctrl + pressing F5). 

   Once your page has loaded after the refresh, run your mouse over the banner to see the link.
