Websites | Adding or Editing Social Media Links

Introduction

Social Media links are added to a central Social Links database, and then relevant Social Media icons and links are exposed onto pages via the Social Links module.

This creates links to popular social media destinations on the chosen page/s:

• Facebook
• Twitter
• Google +
• YouTube

Instructions

1. Hover over the Website Settings menu item on the left hand side, and select Social Links
   
   
2. Select the Add Social Link button:
   
3. Select a relevant icon for the Social Link from the drop-down menu, then click Select Link 
   
4. In the popup window:
   1. Set the Link Type to External Link
   2. Paste in the relevant Social Media link
   3. Type in an appropriate Link Title (such as where the link will 
   4. Tick Open in New Tab
   5. Click Save
      
5. Click Update in the top right to save the changes:
   
6. The new Social Link will be exposed on any pages containing a Social Link module, that doesn't have an override set!

Updating Existing Social Links

1. Navigate to the Website Settings menu item on the left hand side, and select Social Links:
   
2. To update the icon, simply select a new icon from the drop-down list.
3. If you'd like to edit the link or the title, click the pencil icon, and make any necessary changes:

4. Once any changes necessary have been made, click Save:

5. Click Update in the top right to save the changes:

The updated Social Link details will be exposed on any pages containing a Social Link module, that doesn't have an override set.
