Introductions
Locations are considered physical addresses within the modular platform. Every separate address requires a separate Location; (for example, the Sales department for a dealership is located at 123 Example Street, but the Service department is located at 250 Example Street).
Locations are added to a central location database, and then exposed on pages via the Locations and Map modules.
Instructions
- Navigate to the Locations menu item on the left hand side and select Add Locations
- Populate the following fields:
- Location Name
- Street Address
- Suburb
- State
- Postcode
- Scroll down and add the Street Address to the Map Location lookup. Ensure to select the address from the dropdown list:
- If the address pin requires adjusting, simply click where the pin should be placed.
- Note: In some instances, for example a corner address, you will be unable to pinpoint the Location on the map. In this instance, type in a close address (250 Example Street rather than Corner Example Street and Sample Lane) and then adjust the pin manually to the correct location:
- Finally, click the Publish button at the top right to save the new Location:
-
This new Location will now appear on any Location or Map module, unless the module has an override set to only display certain Locations.
Editing an Existing Location
- Navigate to the Locations menu item on the left hand side and select All Locations
-
Click on the Location you would like to update:
-
Update the Name, Address or Map as necessary.
a. Note - should you be updating the street address, ensure to also scroll down and update the Map address!
-
Click Save Changes on the right hand side to save the update:
