Introduction
If you have a Ricoh Theta camera, the Auto360 app can sync with this device in order to record interior images for your vehicles. If you do not have this specific camera, you can still take interior videos. To learn more about how to record videos with Auto360, click here.
Instructions
1. Mount the Ricoh Theta on a tripod or monkey pod, placing it in the vehicle so that the camera’s front faces the vehicle’s dashboard – the Ricoh theta’s wireless and camera mode lamps are on the rear side of the camera and should face the rear seats.
2. In the 360° spin view, tap the Ricoh Theta Camera button.
3. Connect to the Ricoh Theta via Wi-Fi.
4. On Android devices, tap Open Settings then select the Ricoh Theta from the Wi-Fi
networks, wait for the Theta connection status to be “Connected”.
5. For iOS devices, send the Auto360° app to background then open your device’s Wi-Fi settings.
Settings > Wi-Fi > Tap on the Ricoh Theta Wi-Fi and wait for connection to be established.
6. Return to the Auto360° app. Android users would tap the back button on the soft navigation bar. For iOS devices, return to the Auto360° app by toggling and bringing Auto360° back to the foreground.
7. The Ricoh Theta connection should now show “CONNECTED” and shows the live preview of the vehicle interior.
8. Tap the record button to capture the interior 360° spin image.
9. Preview the interior 360° spin image by panning it, retake it by tapping “Retake” and
accept it by tapping “Done”.
10. You may now create hotspots for your interior 360˚ spin (see: Creating Hotspots for 360˚
Spin Images) or return to the vehicle details page by tapping “Next”.
